While the scenes are idyllic, the aroma ever so pleasant and the industry quite lucrative even on a small amount of land, the work (so I'm told) is back-breaking, down on your knees hard work mostly by hand to harvest then with hedge trimmers to mound out the plants after the harvest. But they are ever green and require little attention. They sound perfect for my parkway but will have to come back to the farms to purchase plants: you can't get these varieties from the local nursery. Nurseries only have the spindly sort you see everywhere.
