The tide flats on Com-mencement Bay is a deep water port. Looking across the water you can see the off loaded containers stacked up appearing like a multicolored mosaic of rectangles. The diversity of the marina area only gets hinted at by the presence of the sailboat at the stern of the empty container ship moored in the bay. It is an area of fascination and activity; beauty and decay; natural and man-made; interest and mundane.
